Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe has reportedly revealed he’s gay in an interview with Sir Michael Parkinson that is due to be broadcast today
The Olympic gold medallist is said to have opened up about sexuality in an ‘emotional’ interview that will air on Australia’s Channel 10.

The 31-year-old has previously repeatedly denied he is gay, something which he apparently blamed for his battle with depression.

Parkinson would not confirm whether the swimmer had come out but did admit it was one of his best interviews to date.

‘I think his sexuality is no one’s business but his own,’ he said.
‘But I think it’s one of the best interviews I have ever done in terms of (Thorpe) talking about depression and things like that.’

Thorpe was recently released from a rehab clinic following a well-documented battle with substance abuse.
